I don’t know if there is an absolute favorite, but Cu Sylvatica is definitely up there. What I love is that it explores the sociopathy, or possible lack of, through Sherlock’s eyes, and shows how he questions that.
Also, anything by Atlin Merrick, but the Minutae series in particular.
Also, The Progress of Sherlock Holmes, exploring UST, angst, marriage, adultery, pining, and happy endings, believe it or not.
